Hard word search
The difficulty here is structural, not decorative: a 15x15 grid, eighteen long words, and every one of the eight directions in play. Budget more than one coffee.
Play it right here
Drag across the letters to select a word. Words hide across, down and diagonally, forwards and backwards. Works with mouse and touch.
Why this one is actually hard
Three levers, all pulled at once. The grid is 15x15, so there is simply more noise. The words are long (labyrinth, xylophone, kaleidoscope territory), so a single wrong letter mid-word costs you the whole line. And all eight directions are active, so half the words run backwards or diagonally, where the eye does not naturally read.
Strategy for grids this size
Forget scanning for whole words. Pick each word's rarest letter (the X of XYLOPHONE, the Z of ZEPPELIN) and sweep the grid for that letter alone, then check its eight neighbours. On a 15x15 this is the only method that scales; brute force reading works on kids' grids and drowns here.
Print it or play it
Play it on this page or print the free PDF for the full pencil experience. The solution sheet exists, but on this page it counts as surrender. It marks all eighteen words, including the two that cross in the middle.
