Why this one is actually hard
Three levers, all pulled at once. The grid is 15x15, so there is simply more noise. The words are long (labyrinth, xylophone, kaleidoscope territory), so a single wrong letter mid-word costs you the whole line. And all eight directions are active: thirteen of the eighteen words run backwards, diagonally or both, where the eye does not naturally read.
Strategy for grids this size
Forget scanning for whole words. Pick each word's rarest letter (the X of XYLOPHONE, the Z of ZEPPELIN) and sweep the grid for that letter alone, then check its eight neighbours. On a 15x15 this is the only method that scales; brute force reading works on kids' grids and drowns here.

Rare letters, eighteen times over
Hunting the rare letter is how anybody solves a 15x15, so this board switches the method off: every single entry carries a J, a Q, an X or a Z, and spotting one of them tells you nothing at all.
A shorter word hidden inside every word
Every entry contains another real word, so half of what you spot on this board is not on the list: caterpillar holds a cat and a pillar, bargain holds a bar and a gain, sparrow holds an arrow.
One letter apart, nine pairs of near twins
Eighteen words in nine pairs that differ by a single letter, so every find has to be read twice before it counts: stare or store, cloud or clout, thread or threat, sweet or sweat, drift or draft.
The fullest grid here, with almost no filler
Eighteen long words packed so tightly that 165 of the 225 letters on the board belong to an entry, which leaves barely any random filler for a word to hide behind and almost none to rule out.
Consonant clusters, three in a row
Every word turns on a run of three consonants, which is precisely the shape the eye cannot chunk into a syllable: STR, SCR, SPL, SHR and THR, eighteen times over on a 15x15 board.
Homophones, nine pairs that sound identical
Nine pairs spelled differently and pronounced the same, which makes the printed word list read like a stutter and stops it helping you: brake and break, medal and meddle, chord and cord.
