What words are hidden in this football word search?
Thirteen gridiron words in a 12x12 grid: quarterback, touchdown, endzone, fumble, huddle, linebacker, punt, blitz, scrimmage, tailgate, gridiron, helmet and kickoff. They hide in all eight directions, so words run diagonally and backwards as well as across and down. QUARTERBACK is the eleven letter anchor; PUNT is usually the last one standing.
Football words, not a general sports list
Every word on this board belongs to one game. No tennis, no cycling, no skiing: this is the vocabulary of a Sunday afternoon, from the huddle before the snap to the tailgate in the parking lot.
